People who don't take "No" for an answer

You may know people like this.

If you are unlucky, you may have a boss or someone you work with, who is like this.

Bosses likes subordinates/middle management who don't take "no" for an answer. These "don't take no for an answer" people are often seen by their bosses as "people who get things done". They have a "can-do" attitude. (Technically, it is a "can-make-others-do" attitude.)

You may have had reasonable bosses. Bosses who when you explain why things cannot be done, accepts your reasonable explanation.
But they don't get things done.
You may have heard/read this quote:
"The reasonable man adapts himself to circumstances.
The unreasonable man expects circumstances to adapt to him.
Therefore all human progress has been dependent on the Unreasonable Man."

Don't believe me?
LKY is generally seen as a tough, unreasonable man. When he was PM, SG grew at 8 - 12% annually.
When GCT took over, he pursued a "kinder, gentler" SG. He was more reasonable. SG grew at 6 - 8% when he was PM.
Then LHL took over and politics in SG became "normal". People became more demanding and wanted the government to be more reasonable. Compared to LKY and GCT, LHL has been very accommodating, very reasonable. SG's growth has dropped to 4% or less.
Reasonableness in our PM correlates negatively to SG's Economic Progress. That is a fact.
So people who don't take "No" for an answer get things done!
But, you know who else don't take "No" for an answer?
Rapists.
